My all time favourite pumpkin salad! Perfect combination of ingredients, reminds me of mashed potatoes, but this is cold and has nicer texture! Highly recommended starter dish! ;)

Emperor's Roll. It may seem like really special at first, since its a giant sushi, chinese style, but personally, taste wise, i dont think its that great, but presentation wise, it's good! My friend actually commented that it tasted wrong cuz its hot, so if ure a small eater who's used to eating cold sushi and you think you're gonna associate this with sushi, don't order! It's pretty expensive but to be fair, the portion is quite big. i forgot the name of this dish but its pretty good, not very special but it aint too bad, although u can most likely get this elsewhere at a cheaper price

This is one of my dad's favourite eat out spot in PJ on Sundays when we want yummy and affordable food :) after the 100th time going there, I'm finally doing a blog post on it! And this post will be on most of our must-order list whenever we're there, unfortunately, recently my dad's on a strict diet so we couldn't order their famous deep fried pork trotters which is one of their popular dishes we used to order really often. It's nicely deep fried till its attractively golden brown and then served with some sweet sauce. The "ying yong kai lan" dish below is usually our favourite dish from the restaurant! deep fried shredded seaweed-taste-a-like kai lan with tasty anchovies on top of crunchy kai lan! simply addictive! =)

Strategically located in leicester square where chinatown is, this is one of our favourite dessert spot to hit. The atmosphere of this place is pretty decent, and they serve really pretty ice creams!

So what's so special about this place?

As you can see from the menu, this place serves lasagne, spaghetti and fried egg ice cream! I dont know about you, but this is definitely my first time hearing bout it. call me jakun or wtv u want but it's Interesting, isnt it? :) I haven't tried them But apparently, they're not that yummy. The not so special but still extremely pretty ice creams below taste better, so here are pics of the once I've tried:

and yes, they're the perfect pick me up comfort food, feast to the eye, tastebuds and also the soul :)

The mixture of taste from the sweet ice cream and fresh kiwis, a lil sour-ish, makes the ice cream experience more exciting!

The mountainful of fresh fruits is really yummy makes this dessert a perfect ending to an indulgent heavy meal, it's gonna aid in digestion as well! what better way can u kill two birds with a stone? ;)

Eating Out in London(Part One)

Happy New Year!!!

I know this blog has been pretty dead for quite some time, ever since voon flew to HK and I went to London for uni. But anyways, I just suddenly felt like updating it, and I wanna share with y'all all the yummy food in London, that's caused me massive weight gain! >:( but major satisfaction to muh tastebuds :)

warning: I dont quite remember the names and prices of the food but I remember the location perfectly well, so ask me if u want more details ;)

WAGAMAMA, Westfield Shopping Centre

Wagamama has always been known for their affordable japanese food, especially their ramen. They also serve udon and rice dishes. But none of their udon dishes are soup based.

Duck Gyoza with Hoi Sin sauce
I've had so many gyozas in my life but this is the first time coming across duck gyoza, I was abit sceptical at first, but it's better than I expected, really tasty :) and the sauce goes pretty well with the gyozas.

Grilled Sobas
interesting, and it's not too bad. You can actually still see the grilled mark on some part of the udons

I forgot what this dish is called but although it may look abit weird to certain people, but I tell you, it has surpassed our expectations and it was the best dish we ordered that day! Personally, I've always loved having soup with rice, and although the rice is drenched in soup, its not soggy and the soup is real tasty!

Food here ranges from about 5pounds to 11 pounds per main dish. Mostly around 7pounds but portion is really big so it's pretty worth it :) nearest tube to this place is shepherd's bush station.

Churchill Arms, Kensington

Churchill Arms is a pub owned by an avid nature lover, the whole place is heavily decorated with everything butterfly and plants even their toilet smells really nice and looks like a garden! Dimly lit with great ambience for chilling out, a break from the madness and hustle bustle of London town.

This pub serves amazing thai food, especially the spicy fried noodles! It's extremely spicy, definitely not for the pussy-tongued! But that gives the extra kick ;) some may find it a tad too salty but i guess they deliberately added more salt, so that the chilli-numbed tongue can still taste the fried noodles. But i must say, this is a definite MUST-TRY! ;)

This dish had Chan covered in sweat! Sweat droplets were literally streaming down his face it was so terribly fun watching him eat! hahah

Hey guys sorry for the extreme lack of update, been so busy with my pre-departure stuff! And then busy settling down in London, I wont be updating my food blog here often since everything here is so expensive, wont be able to try out much food other than subway and McD's here! :(

So this post is on CPK, which i went super long ago, therefore i dont quite rmmbr the names of the dishes and the price and also the exact taste of each dish in detail, but i rmmbr it was definitely very filling and really yummy! It's not just another pizza chain, as they serve quality american pizza. Abit pricey but worth the price :)

Banquet, Bangsar Village II

After spending an entire afternoon doing extreme researching around flogs for where to go for dinner around bangsar area, Banquet caught my attention. The reason?

Scanning the menu, i noticed that they have quite a wide range of food from western to asian, and the food here ain't cheap. But it's ok... its a family dinner so my dad pays the bill, not me :P

For starters we ordered some garlic bread with melted mozarella, and French Onion Soup, but i couldn't grab any pics on time cuz my parents were starving and didn't bother my plea :( well, at least i tried!

Garlic bread was okay... but not as good as the one i had in Monte's which was sooo goddamn tasty. And I have to say I'm extremely disappointed with the french onion soup. The best is still at TGIF :) the one here was too salty and there was just a miserable piece of crunchy bread soaking and floating on top of the soup.

Spaghetti Vongole, RM 25.

It ws just okay la.... nothing special. Nothing much to shout about. Just satisfactory. This was my dish and i have no comments on other dish cuz i was already damn full and i didnt try both the spaghettis but my mum said it was good.

Oven Baked Butterfish Served with Honey Mustard Sauce, RM 25.

My dad had this dish, he said it was yummy :) real tasty!

Seafood Spaghetti, RM 28.

My mum added tobasco sauce to her seafood spaghetti.. According to her, it enhances the taste, i nvr knew that. Maybe you guys try one day and give me some feedback! :)

some banana cake which i forgot the name( i think it was banana truffle if im not mistaken) was recommended by the waiter so i chose this. I'd say it's really yummy :) had my aunt licking the plate and fork clean! Fork lickin' good baby!

TGIF, Sunway Pyramid

After some super exhausting day reliving our childhood memory at sunway lagoon, a place where horrible tasting food are charged ridiculously EXPENSIVE, we survived only on 1 miserable piece of burger for the whole day..! Body aching, legs burning, stomach rumbling like hell, we set our journey around pyramid hunting for sinfully tasty food! And we finally settled with TGIF! woooohoooo! :)

They had the Naughty or Nice value for money 3 course meal set @RM 39.90++ which I think is really worth it! If you choose Nice, you get healthier dishes, whereas Naughty on the other hand, gives you the sinful waistline threatening food! And of course i chose to be Naughty la... life is short man ;)

Voonie on the other hand got seduced by Jack Daniel's steak the moment she caught sight of it on the poster from outside! It was lust at first sight!

The appetizer: Mac' & Cheese

Macaroni and Cheese makes such a perfect couple :)

Ice Cream Sandwich.

Ice cream with Oreo cookies.. and abit of alcohol. Sinful but Really really yummylicious! It's like the slightly more liquid version of Oreo Mcflurry and also less sweet. I'd give up losing weight jz for this! :) lurrrve it!

Jack Daniel's Steak, RM39.90

The steak comes with special Jack Daniel's sauce, sweet and a lil' spicy, goes very well with the steak. Beef tastes good although there were too much fats.

Grilled Chicken with Cheese, my entree. This is a pretty healthy dish provided that you can resist the temptation of dipping those chicken in cheeeesy sauce. Perfect texture and it's not too bland either even if u eat the grilled chicken alone.

The mashed potatoes that comes with the dish is really good too. There were cubes of potatoes in the mash of potatoes & cheese... the cubes making it not so jelak if consumed in large quantity. :)

Chocolate Malt Cake, dessert.

And lastly the dessert, chocolate malt cake, very rich in chocolate.. i like. :) When I put the first bite into my mouth, I closed my eyes, and savour every moment and feel the jolt of syokness travel down from the tip of my tongue down my throat, with flashes of dark chocolate fountain and malteesers running through my mind. The joy!

Overall food tasted good, service was excellent with attentive staff, and ambience's great! :) nice place for office workers to temporarily escape from hellish work day during lunch hour. that is if they can afford spending money. I would definitely come here more often if it was cheaper... and thanks to voonie, especially her dad, we got to enjoy this wonderous meal :)

HOLA PEEPS! It's been a while, yes I know, I'm seriously sorry for the lack of updates! :( Now with my new lappie, I'm back! :)

Great ambience, really nice and cosy, perfect for chilling out :) As u can see, there's even a huge ass screen for football-holics to watch euro(yes this post is quite outdated, went there during euro08 season).

Creatively laid out, can u guess what it is? No prize for guessing but seriously, if you cant tell what it is just by one look, i gotta say u need serious eye check up man. :P

Yeah, some of you may be rolling their eyes thinking, wth?!? fork also want to take ah... but hey, i was quite fascinated okay, impressed as well, not every dining outlet give a fork about the way their forks are being presented, and every detail no matter how tiny counts for me!

The salad bar, eat all you want at RM10 per head.

The beef is oh so yummy! Juicily sweet and tender, with the exploding roe on top, mmmmmmm :) love it! Don't be surprised if u actually see me licking the plate to indulge in every single last bit of the fish roe.

Pan Seared Dory Fillet, RM16.

To be really honest, I forgot the detail of the taste of this dish as it was very long ago. All i could remember was it being really delicious with the oh so gorgeously tasty creamy topping! :) sorry man, well it's Alex's must have dish everytime he dines at Amuleto, so how bad can it get?

Seafood Spaghetti with Olive Oil, RM15.

Salmon Steak, RM 29.

Not with the typical creamy sauce that goes damn well with grilled salmon, but nonetheless absolutely amazing! In my opinion, i think the gravy goes really well with the salmon and the dish was also very tastefully presented. My hand was literally shaking mouth watering while i snapped tonnes of pics of this dish before i finally get to taste it :(

Oh man, I'm seriously drooling now! Gotta plan a revisit there soon..! Anyone up for it? ;) hehe

I had the Yummiest tasting ice cream the other day! It's some yoghurt ice cream from baskin's!

Do you know how great it feels when it's crazy hell hot out there, and u step into a world where colourful sweet treats smiles at you.

What more, how it feels when you sit back and relax indulge in that heavenly treat that gives u orgasm with every icy cold bite that melts in your tongue, drips down ur throat, when u chew on 'em cold berries. omg, if u don't, i tell you

Firstly, its just plain frozen yoghurt and they do some magic on that plain scoop of yoghurt and it transforms into some super yummy twin berry yoghurt ice cream! Best part is, it's LOW FAT! wooohoo!

In that scoop of ice cream, u get to taste sweet fresh juicy strawberries, and blueberries and there's shortcake in it!

Another super awesome flavourI tried was blueberry volcano. Sorry i was just too mesmerised by the ice cream i cudnt wait to taste it so i forgot to take note of the name and also couldnt hold my lust and just dug into the ice cream the moment God sent it to me, hence, the abscence of picture.

Oh, and i have a bad news for u guys though, hold ur breathe okay...

Pan Mee at Restoran Kin Kin

OMG OMG OMG! FINALLY....! Can't help squealing in extreme excitement right when i saw this sign board after some torturing more than an hour drive round and round kl in heavy rain and shitty traffic and getting lost! And finally, i get to fulfil my dreams to eat pan mee at kin kin! I was experiencing euphoria :)

Pan Mee here comes in only one standard size priced at RM5 per bowl. It's not bad la for the portion compared to the one in tmn sentosa and also considering rising inflation.

Huge bowl of balls for appetizer. Really expensive at RM10 per bowl!

The fu chuk tastes soo good. The chopstick was my guy friend's. He was starving and got tulan waiting for me to snap pics, he couldnt be bothered and start poking his chopstick into the pool of balls already. Sigh, guys u need to train ur patience man :P

With a bit of chili. The chili just adds so much more flavour to noodle. It completes the noodle making it taste oh so godamn delicious!

The noodle is really nice and chewy, the egg with runny egg yolk just adds the extra ooooomph into the bowl of noodle. I've been addicted to noodles with these kinda egg since young!

This is still the noodle at Level 2 of spicyness, are u ready for some level 3? ;)

Proof of spicyness, there were only 8 of us but 15 cups of drink were ordered to ease the stinging sensation but i only drank 1cup (keng or not?) hahaha the guys were all complaining of spiciness all sweating like hell im so sure we'll all have great time in the toilet tmr, better prepare a bucket of ice tmr for the toilet!

The famous Tiramisu with fine crunchy almond and caramel :) claimed the best tiramisu in town by many.
Soft and fluffy cake yummy but not as good as I thought it'd be. The tastebuds and the tongue tells me there was just something missing but i cant seem exactly to pinpoint it.

Chocolate Strawberry Meringue. Personally, after a few bites of my tiramisu and one bite of this, i find that i actually prefer this! Strawberries! mmmmMmmmmm :)

Some warm dark chocolate.. super yummy, molten dark chocolate ooozing from the centre :) heaven on earth!

Due to some unforeseen circumstances, I only managed to get pic of the dessert, I sincerely apologise guys :(

Although we had some serious problem finding this place with crazy friday peak hour congestion, it was all worth the trouble:)
Food taste excellent, dimly lit, ambience is just so splendid both for chilling out and also spending some romantic moments with some special someone :) Pastas and pizzas are pretty worth it otherwise other dishes are quite pricey and portion is really small (its the quality not the quantity).

Yo peeps! Yes I know this flog has been dead for quite some time due to exams lahh :( so don't blame me. Ok, so now I’m back to Spread some experience I had at Sbread!

On Lower Ground floor in the link between Mid Valley and Gardens sits this new shop originated from Thailand that had just opened.

So you may think “okay this’s just another shop with toast” Nono honey, don't jump to conclusion just yet!

The special thing about this place is, there’s much consumer sovereignty as you even get to pick the type of bread you want, out of :

a) Normal White Bread

b) Sesame Bread

c) Bamboo Charcoal Bread a.k.a. The Amazing Black Diamond***** (A definite must try originated from Japan) It’s even made its way to Taiwan & Korea as a popular health food!

· Lowers acidity levels in our body

Don’t worry guys, it doesn't taste like charcoal at all! It’s actually very yummy with those tasty ~~sbread~~ spread!

You can actually purchase them fresh bread loaves for some DIY at home too! The prices per loaf are

There’re various toppings you can spread your bread with, they even have 3 types of kaya: Pandan, vanilla and yam. The vanilla kaya tastes a lil corn-ish somehow, and the yam kaya is superb! Very kao! They even have cubes of yam in there so it’s a definite must-try for yam lovers!

For more special treats, they have some special toppings like Special Chilli Paste & Shredded Floss, Molten Chocolate, and Milo & Condensed Milk (which I really wanted to try but just couldn't stuff anymore food down my throat. From the picture, it sure looks goddamn sinfully delicious)!

We ordered the Special Chilli Paste & Shredded Floss one because the self proclaimed Chilli Queen’s friends knew spicy food are her thing, and also because it seems pretty interesting… but it was just so-so la… not very spicy and I find the paste tad too salty!

And then here comes the good part… we ordered… HOT MOLTEN CHOCOLATE ON CRISPY HOT TOASTED CHARCOAL BREAD. MMmmmmMMM :) :) let me show you what I’m talking about.

Just check out those shiny hot molten dark chocolate oooozingg man…AHHHH! orgasmic delight baby! Looks so damn sexy dontcha think? ;)

I’d give up my world for u, oh molten chocolate. And the condensed milk lining the top of the bread just add to the kick!

This is the 2nd post, after the one on Dragon-i where the 2 tastebuddies of this site reunite for some food :)

At 9.15pm, after some hardcore gym session, stomach rumbling, feet sore, thighs wobbly, throat sore we hurried to the floor plan of sunway pyramid.

Hmmm.. what to eat? Sushi Groove?

Voon: Eeeh dont want, I did some research from several flogs, more negative comment compared to positive.

O' Viet? Nahh not in the mood for Vietnamese cuisine. After what seem like centuries of a series of heated debate and argument (ok, i'm exaggerating, so what) we decided to dine at

MONTE'S!

So we start our journey to hunt for this restaurant, we thought we were bright enough to navigate ourselves to the destination, but apparently not, because we travelled all around the whole world(from old wing to new wing and back to old wing) and only found the place in the end after asking for some directions from the guards.

It's actually pretty easy to find if u start from Kim Gary Restaurant, just next to it!

But then u see, the feng shui and weather wasnt exactly good that day, thus the humidity in the shopping complex was complicated and somehow u know la, we were affected and became blur...
but hey not our fault ok! we're still smart people :)

The cosy section :) gives some kinda romantic feel to it

But the songs they were playing, spoiler la, they were playing clubbing music okay... =.=
play some love songs or lounge music la.. to suit the ambience right.

Empty.... I think its due to their hidden location and also it was on a Monday night.

Shiny yummy buns

MmmmMmmMmmMmm.. I just can't get enough of these buns especially those hot steaming soft buns with icy cold salted butter! :) i can just sit down and order few servings of this and who needs a main course?!

Yes, just a simple dish like this can do me good, real good :)

Garlic Bread, rm1.20/pc

It's superb their garlic bread! It's topped with garlic and also cheese, the cheesy flavour just completes the garlic bread... such a good combination, altho it was a tad too oily but still good. Gobsmackingly delicious baby! But for non cheese lovers i dont think you'd like this.

Potato Salad

This potato salad is part of Grilled Halibut(a type of fish) set. It's really worth it, at RM 33.90 you can get:

-appetiser (potato salad or pumpkin soup

-main course (rib eye or grilled halibut)

-coffee or tea

-dessert (banana fritters with ice cream)

Grilled Halibut

Tastes good although it was abit too oily. The dip they gave for this fish goes really well with the dish! However, the sides that came along with this dish was pretty fresh, the vege still crunchy and the roasted tomatoes tastes good!

Spicy Salmon, RM 31.90

At first when i read the menu spicy salmon sauce, I thought maybe it'll be made spicy with pepper or something made from chili padis. But the dish that came was completely not what i expected, the spicy sauce on the salmon was actually curry. I never knew that curry would go well with salmons! As you can see, they serve it with fresh crunchy broccoli, carrots, roasted tomatoes(i love them) and deep fried wedges.

The curry was not bad, not very spicy but still fragrant, salmon tastes good :) and those finely chopped tomatoes on top of the salmon just make things better! It somehow enhances the taste, as if it opened up my tastebuds to be more sensitive to taste of salmon! well in a good way, of course. I find this dish somewhat unique from other styles of cooking salmon.

Banana Fritters with Vanilla Ice Cream

As mentioned above, this Banana Fritters with Vanilla Ice Cream came with the set.

Although the vanilla ice cream tasted abit odd to me, as if its not just pure vanilla, its very sinfully delicious. Fortunately, the goreng pisang wasnt too oily, with its hot crispy skin and fresh sweet banana filling, topped with some icy cold vanilla cream, it just creates a blast in ur mouth. It's creates some orgasmic Ice Fire effect in your mouth.

This feelings reminds me of eating those fried ice cream from pasar malam. Except that these fritters arent claimed to be carcinogenic(cancer causing substance) like those fried ice creams were.

Mizi Shabu Shabu, Bandar Puteri

This place is one of the many eateries that sprouted out in Bandar Puteri. One of my greatest discovery in that area, one of my fav steamboat spot :)

Shabu-shabu: A Japanese dish consisting of raw meat and raw vegetables cooked by each diner at the table in a pot of hot broth. The name is said to come from the sound that's made as the meat is gently swished through the broth.

It's really easy to find and in my opinion, the price is pretty reasonable too.

Electrical heater instead of the normal gas. Less hassle more fun :) for jakuns using this the first time, it can be pretty fascinating!

So, you see, don't you agree it'll make everyone happy if you get ur own individual pot?

The soup with the yummiest tasting steamboat sauce(the black one). It's so tasty I always beg for more.. sometimes even 2 bowls of it ain't enough for me!

If you find the soup too bland, u can always ask for their tom yum flavoured one where you add your own tom yum paste into the soup (tastes really good, really spicy tho)
There's eggs available too for more enjoyable eggy soup too!

The Beef Slice that comes together in the set. Taste like heaven with the heavenly sauce that I'm crazy addicted to.

Close up of the side dish. Very loaded, guaranteed to fill every empty slot available in your tummy. There's fresh prawn, fish fillet, fish balls, porn balls, tau foo pok, cabbage, maggi(which can be switched with glass noodle or bihun), foo chuk, needle mushrooms, meat dumpling, etc.

I highly recommend you guys to extra order this side dish. Soak it a while in the soup(don't oversoak it tho, it needs a lil bit of crispyness to taste superb) and then dip it in the brown sauce(refer to above) and Oh My God, I just cant describe how much joy just entered my life...
Everytime I eat this, I can't stop, no matter how much my tighter jeans is telling me to stop, my tongue just craves for more more and more!

Directions: From Subang/Sunway via the LDP, just go straight until you reach IOI Mall, go all the way straight, try to keep to your left all the time and look out for Bandar Puteri or Giant signboard. When Giant's on your left, turn right at the traffic light in front of Giant(under a flyover). Look out for a shop with a giant steamboat logo high on top.

Pan Mee, Taman Sri Sentosa

Having a major sudden craving for pan mee one day, I decided to find for recommendations of pan mee from online food blogs and there were 2 places that caught my attention
- the super long one at tmn sri sentosa (masak-masak, preciouspea)
- Kin Kin's chili pan mee all the way in KL(gastronomicdiary, masak-masak)

Since we didnt know the way to KL that well and sri sentosa's pretty near my place, I decided to hunt for this place after college one day. It's quite easy to find and very near to subang via the NPE :) the only challenging part was to locate the stall itself... for some detailed directions, check out masak-masak.

Hand Pulled Pan Mee, stall no.28 (near the fish market)

If you somehow get lost, let me tell you, the ppl in that area may not be the friendliest. I tried asking for directions, from 2 different ladies at different places, they ignored my call of desperation and gave me a one-kind look(as if I wanted to con them and kidnap them or something) c'mon la i dont look scary at all la okay... and i was even flashing my sweetest smile at them they still refused to bother about me :( ok la, i dont blame them for all those crazy stuff that's been happening recently... it's good to be cautious even someone who looks pretty harmless approaches you.

Hand Pulled Pan Mee small, RM 4.50

The small portion is seriously very small.. even for a small eater it wouldn't be sufficient, therefore those big eaters should order one big and one small. For big bowl it's (RM 5.50) which is think is really expensive for their miserable portion.

with chili (I love it spicy)

I really love the texture of this noodle as it wasn't too thin like most places and hence its springy but not too chewy (like chewing gum). When bitten, you sort of feel the noodle bouncing back in between your teeth, very responsive noodles I must say ;) And the fact that it's soo long, makes u feel like you're eating something special...gives you a more extraordinary feeling of eating pan mee!

For chili lovers like me, the chili is a must have topping, together with few squeeze of fresh limes. It just gives the extra kick! I must say they serve THE BEST pan mee I've ever tasted in my life!(not having tried Kin Kin's)

mmmmm... soo delicious!

This is the soup version, it's good but doesnt rock my tastebuds the way the dry one did. The soupy version just doesnt bring out the goodness in texture of the noodle to the fullest.. So I wouldn't recommend you to try this before u have a taste of their supa awesome dry one. But the soup was nonetheless tasty, made sweeter by the soaked anchovies. Another drawback was the fact that the chili doesnt go well with soupy version :( compared to dry.

Pandan Chicken, RM10 (3pcs) RM4/pc

This is a must have at this shop! It's really yummy, unlike some shops, which serve pandan chicken which is only taste on the outer layer, this chicken is truly fragrant... even deep inside the meat! I dare say it's even better than certain thai restaurants! Quite pricey for such a small shop, but once u taste the chicken, you just won't give a damn about its price anymore.

hey, chick me out!

If you're in the mood to chew on some balls and still feeling hungry due to their micro mini portions, side dishes like pork balls are necessary to fill up some blanks in ur tummy. But I forgot the price of these balls. Other than these pork balls, there're also otak otak and a few other side dishes. I'd definitely return to this place the next time I'm thinking of some pan mees. And it's soo near to my house! whooo! :)
P.S: if ure planning to go afternoon, get ready to sweat alot, its really hot there!

Chee Cheung Funn with Fried Fritters, Lim Zhen (Asia Cafe)

I tried this with some friends for dinner after college.. This stall, "Lim Zhen" is quite new(i think) and is located in Asia Cafe, SS15 Subang Jaya. It's situated behind the wan tan mee stall and is next to a vegetarian stall that is usually closed at night.

Asia Cafe is a really lively place at night and it has soo many variteties of food from satay to western food and even jap food to choose from, I'm often left in a dilemma choosing what to eat! :S Altho it's a GIGANTIC food court, be warned not all the food there are cheap!

Deep Fried Fritters with Chee Cheung Fun, RM3.50/plate

This combination's a pretty good combination and I know it may be a favourite HK delicacy of many of u, but believe it or not, it was my first time trying this! It's delicious! But it wasn't perfect, fritters being very crispy but also abit too oily that u can actually feel the oil oozing out when bitten.

There was a slight touch of mayonnaise inside the fritters to further enhance the taste and mmmm.... it's tasty! However, since I friggin love spicy food, I think it'd taste even greater with those dry chili paste that comes with HK CCF :) Overall, i think this dish is worth a try for those who havent tasted it(like me)!

My other recommendations which are also my all time favs from the AC would be the Beijing Noodle and Siu Loong Pao(just beside Lim Zhen stall), Shanghai Dumpling, Thai Belacan Fried Rice(highly recommended only RM4 for a huge plate of fried rice!), butter/honey chicken with rice, Spicy Noodle(similar to dry spicy pan mee, few stalls away from Lim Zhen) and Ikan Bakar. Will definitely come back with more posts on AC food b4 i finish my last month of college! :)

Pick n' Brew, One Utama

Feeling hungry one night(as usual) we stumbled upon several floggers post (precious pea , kbcg,ugwug) on pick n' brew and started drooling on the yummy pictures and made a mental note to visit this place asap.

Few days later after a very stressful physics paper, we headed straight to 1u and spontaneously, decided to check pick n brew out. However this was a few months back and we haven't decided to become flogger back then so sorry if we have insufficient pictures and we didnt take note of the name of food and price :(

The ambience of this place is pretty cosy and it's a really nice place to spend some ketchup(catch-up) and chilli(ng) time with few close friends. The atmosphere was perfect for the stressful state I was in, the moment we settled down, I could feel my stress melting away... and calmness settling in :)

However, we got impatient as we waited extremely long for the food to arrive despite them only having a few customers. Luckily, they had a few magazines for us to flip thru to momentarily forget about the torturous feeling of tummy turbulence!

Grenobloise Salmon Fillet (RM30)

Grenobloise Salmon Fillet was pretty good.. I really love cheese and salmon and since the gravy on this salmon has a hint of cheese in it.. i love it! :)

This this was called some oven baked chicken or something like that(sorry, like ive mentioned, we werent aspiring floggers yet). This dish was somewhat disappointing, the taste was bland and the combination of taste somehow didnt manage to hit our spot! :( The texture of chicken was not bad though, tender but not too soft.

This was the Bruschetta we ordered as our appetizer. Thumbs up to this dish! It was soo satisfying! Definitely hit our spots.. both the F and the G! :) I'm not exaggerating, it's so damn orgasmically delicious! This was the first time we both had bruschetta.... it was so warm, crispy, and fresh,

oh my dear bruschetta, I will never forget the day I met you, u're the love of my life! :)

Based on our flogs post, they have really unique freshly brewed coffee which is their MUST TRY! but unfortunately, we were really sick of caffeine back then, so we didnt get to try them... we'll come back soon for part 2 with their coffee! ;)

HOLAA PEEPS!

So here's our first post from two long time food blog addicts (or they call us gastroporn addicts) yes ppl don't only get addicted to porn on9, there're ppl who're addicted to food on9 too! ;) What to expect frm us? well, we'll try our best to try as much food as possible altho they may not be from the poshest place(we're still students!) and we'll give some honest opinions.

siu long pau rm9

In my opinion, i think the siu long pau here are the best among the rest I've tried! Or at least it's better than Din Tai Fung! U guys should really try Din Tai Fung in Taiwan! It's soo much better they make Din Tai Fung in KL look like major bullshit.. altho its a quite exp over there and the queue's really lllooooonnnnggg......But hey, it's all worth it!

Just cant have enough of the scrumptious soup......When u bite into the springy skin, and slowly sip the hot soup, trust me, its so sweeeet u'll feel like u're in heaven! The taste was just right, not too salty, very tasty! Once sipped dry, you can savour the mouth watering minced meat inside.. ohh soooooo goood i just wanna marry a siu loong pau master right now! :)

And a must have! ingredient to go with this dumpling: sliced ginger+vinegar. Somehow they just activate our tastebuds :)

WARNING! most of the time, the soup's boiling so becareful not to kill ur tongue! but make sure u dont have it once its cooled either! it wudnt be as satisfying anymore.

egg yolk bun rm6

mmm... this is hui's must have! There's another place to have great egg yolk bun i love, which is ah yatt abalone's dim sum.

The best egg yolk bun, must have HOTT flowing "lavae" center which is sweet with a lil' hint of saltiness! It's so goddamn good hui can finish 2 whole baskets by herself!

Thumbs up to the one at dragon-i, it was flowy, hot and tasty. It's extremely disappointing when places serve egg yolk bun with the centre all caked up :( it's as if it was some leftovers they just simply heat up with microwave

pomelo mango dessert rm10

It was just so-so. The pomelo&mango combination's great but other than that, its pretty tasteless.

Just like the mango dessert above, it taste quite tasteless, the best part of the dessert is just the fresh fruit on top. The syrup's too diluted and thus, it wudnt make ur eyes close in that orgasmic satisfaction(yes u know what i mean) once they fill ur mouth. boohoo :(

Another thing i like abt this place, they have this oh-so-efficient service that saves us the trouble from screwing our necks and showing our armpits off or sometimes waving our arms like a caveman just to get the waiters attention :)

Will definitely revisit this place soon. Just cant get enough of the food!
